20-year-old Levi Colwill spent the 2022/23 season on loan in the Premier League with Brighton.

The Seagulls secured a Europa League place for the first time in their history with the centre-back playing an important role.

He has since linked up with England’s under-21 team to compete for the European Championship.

Their first group match took place on Thursday and saw them come out 2-0 winners over the Czech Republic.

Now, ahead of facing Israel in their second group match, Colwill has been discussing winning his first-ever trophy:

“I really enjoyed training with the seniors”, Colwill said. “I learned so much, but I always had this tournament in the back of my mind. It’s such a big thing for me because I haven’t won a trophy in my professional career yet. This would be the best way to start, and hopefully do well.

Colwill will return to Chelsea after the tournament with his future up in the air.
