An interesting insight into the current feelings of the Chelsea faithful when it comes to the possibility of their side making Joao Felix’s arrival permanent in the summer has been provided on Saturday evening.

Graham Potter’s troops, of course, are currently locked in action.

Riding high amid a timely return to form, the Blues have welcomed relegation-battling Everton to Stamford Bridge, eyeing a 4th successive victory across all competitions.

As things stand in west London on Saturday, though, Potter and co. have found themselves frustrated, amid a hard-fought goalless stalemate with Sean Dyche’s visitors.

One player to have come close to opening the scoring, meanwhile, comes in the form of the aforementioned Joao Felix.

Afforded his latest chance to impress alongside Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic in the hosts’ front-three, frontman Felix has showcased signs of characteristic brilliance to date, by way of a number of clever flicks and tricks.

And, as alluded to above, such hit-and-miss endeavours on the part of their side’s on-loan attacker have since sparked a fascinating back-and-forth online, as some sections of the Blues faithful call for the Atletico Madrid man to be brought in permanently, whilst others urge Todd Boehly and co. to say their goodbyes come the summer.

*Update* – Felix, typically, has since gone on find the net, courtesy of a fine finish.
