Supporters of Premier League giants Chelsea have taken to social media in numbers on Saturday evening, to send a direct message to owner Todd Boehly regarding a key transfer target.

The player in question? Enzo Fernandez.

Midfield sensation Fernandez, of course, was hotly tipped for a move to west London earlier this month.

Amid the ongoing efforts of the powers that be at Stamford Bridge to secure much-needed reinforcements in the middle of the park, Fernandez, fresh off a breakout World Cup campaign with Argentina, was identified as a leading target.

Despite their ongoing willingness to spend big ahead of the 2nd half of the term, however, Chelsea, in the end, were simply unwilling to meet the demands of their counterparts at Benfica.

Fernandez, in turn, has since stayed put at the Estadio da Luz.

After footage of Fernandez bagging his latest sumptuous assist came to the fore late on Saturday evening, supporters of the Blues responded in kind, courtesy of a series of direct messages to big-spending new owner Todd Boehly:
