Chelsea are currently sat 10th in the Premier League after the weekend’s action.
The Blues are struggling for goals and have scored the fewest of the top 11 clubs in the division.
They are also 10 points adrift of a Champions League place, with a top-four finish in 2022/23 looking very unlikely.
This has seen speculation mount over Potter’s future at Stamford Bridge.
However, Brighton star Pascal Gross, who worked under Potter at the Amex, has backed his former coach to come good with Chelsea:
“Many are surprised that he has such problems with the Blues in the Premier League, but I think you just have to give him time,” he told Kicker.
“He doesn’t want to neglect a single player, which of course is not easy in such a squad and with many personalities in the dressing room.
“He is very keen on harmony, but ultimately there will always be hardship cases and unhappy players at Chelsea. I think Potter will rotate as often as he can to try and get everyone involved.”
