Romeo Lavia is not expected to make his Chelsea debut for a number of weeks after a move from Southampton.

Little more information is given as to what issue the Belgian has but he was spotted in the stands last Friday as Chelsea picked up their first win of the season vs Southampton.

Mykhailo Mudryk missed the win over Luton with a ‘minor’ injury but could return for the visit of Nottingham Forest this week. But given his poor showings in a Chelsea shirt so far, it is unlikely he will start the match anyway, with Maurico Pochettino preferring to use Enzo Fernandez as a wide forward last time out.

Reece James shone on the opening weekend vs Liverpool before being forced off with an injury. Mauricio Pochettino insisted that James was looking at a return date weeks away rather than months:

“It is not about a few days, maybe a few weeks but the most important thing is the evolution. The good thing is it is not a big issue,” the Argentine said after the Liverpool game.
