Arsenal have been joined by a long-standing London rival in the race for key transfer target Mykhailo Mudryk, according to reports.
The outfit in question? Chelsea.
Recent weeks, of course, have seen wide-man Mudryk hotly tipped for a move to Arsenal during the January transfer window.
This comes as the Gunners go in search of much-needed squad depth, amid efforts to keep alive what has proven a surprise challenge for the Premier League title across the first half of the campaign.
Evidently of the opinion that the club’s options out wide are lacking, Mudryk, capable of lining out on either flank, has therefore been identified as a priority target.
To this point, though, Edu Gaspar and co. have been left frustrated by the mammoth demands of their counterparts at the Olympiyskiy.

This comes with confirmation having now arrived that a direct London rival, in the form of Chelsea, have entered the fray for Mudryk.
As per a report from The Guardian, the Blues are giving serious consideration to hijacking Arsenal’s move for the Ukrainian talent.
This comes as Graham Potter and co. too seek out reinforcements in the attacking third during the winter transfer window.
