Reports suggest the Jamaica international – who played for England up until under-19 level – will complete a move worth an initial £20million – with the possibility of that rising by a further £2.5m subject to performance related add-ons.
A medical is expected to be completed this week and subject to that the deal will help Chelsea’s quest to meet Premier League profit and sustainability criteria.
Hutchinson has made two Blues appearances after joining from Arsenal in 2022 while the Gunners will be entitled to a share of the profits as they had a sell-on clause in the deal, which might net them more than £10m.
