Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Pedro Neto from Wolves.
The Blues have been one of Europe’s most active clubs in the transfer market this summer and are on the verge of wrapping up their most expensive deal yet.
According to David Ornstein, the West Londoners are paying £54million for the 24-year-old.
Neto had also been linked with a move to Tottenham, who are working to wrap up the signing of Dominic Solanke as well.
But it seems Chelsea have accelerated talks with Wolves and are keen to get the medical and other formalities sorted quickly.
The Portugal international does have some injury concerns and has missed over 100 games since April 2021.

A recurring hamstring issue will be well-known by those trying to make a deal happen but Chelsea see the player as a risk worth taking.
Reports also suggest that both Chelsea and Spurs offered players plus cash deals for Neto, which were rejected.
The 10-cap international has scored 11 Premier League goals in 111 appearances for Wolves, with two of them coming in 2023-24.
But he did record nine assists and has proved he can be a top-class winger when fit.
