Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz has rubbished rumours of a potential summer move away from Stamford Bridge despite the impending arrival of yet more forwards and his own lacklustre form.

The German attacker arrived at the club in 2020, and wrote his name into folklore when he netted the only goal of the 2021 Champions League final to help the Blues lift the trophy at the expense of Manchester City.

However, he has endured a torrid season to date, with the 23-year-old having scored just 7 times in 28 Premier League appearances, and having been guilty of missing several guilt-edged opportunities.

Despite his struggles, however, Havertz is in no rush to go anywhere this summer amid speculation linking him with a move to Bayern Munich, and a return to Germany.

“I still have a 2-year contract, I don’t have to move every 2-3 years”, he explained. “My girlfriend and I feel very comfortable in London. I love the club, Chelsea — people and fans”

“I never spoke to Bayern directors after my move to Chelsea”

With the impending arrival of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig and the uncertainty surrounding a potential move for Joao Felix, who is currently on loan at Stamford Bridge, his position in the longer term Blues side remains unclear, even if fellow attacker Mason Mount does depart this summer.
