Concern is fast spreading amongst those of a Liverpool persuasion, owing to the latest round of photographs stemming from the club’s training ground.
Jurgen Klopp’s troops are of course set to return to action in just shy of 48 hours’ time.
On the back of a morale-boosting drubbing of Scottish giants Rangers in midweek, the Reds will turn their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, courtesy of a highly-anticipated Premier League showdown with champions Manchester City.
Already sitting a full 13 points adrift of the Sky Blues in the table, it therefore goes without saying that Liverpool simply cannot afford to slip to defeat at Anfield on Sunday evening.
As alluded to above, though, late on Friday, pulses have been sat racing across the Merseyside outfit’s fanbase.
This comes amid mounting concern over the fitness of a key member of boss Klopp’s backline.

As confirmed by a number of sources this evening, stopper Konate was not spotted alongside the rest of Liverpool’s squad at the club’s Kirkby training centre on Friday.
This of course comes after the 23-year-old was afforded his first start of the campaign in midweek, on the back of a lengthy layoff owing to a knee injury.
All associated with the Reds will therefore be hopeful that Konate’s absence was purely precautionary, with fellow central defender Joel Matip already sidelined with an issue of his own.
No Ibrahima Konate in the training photos today.
