Word stemming from the European media on Sunday points towards Chelsea joining London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race for a key transfer target.
The player in question? Pedro Porro.
Recent weeks have of course seen it widely speculated that Porro, formerly of Manchester City, has piqued the attentions of the powers that be at Spurs, owing to his starring displays in Portugal with Sporting CP.
This comes as Antonio Conte and co. continue to seek out reinforcements at right-wing back, amid the struggles of Emerson Royal and the forgotten Djed Spence.

The hopes of the Lilywhites faithful, though, have been dampened of late, amid claims in the media that Daniel Levy and co. have no intention of forking out the sum required to coax Sporting into a sale.
And now, as alluded to above, such concerns have only continued to mount.
Though Tottenham remain the favourites for the 23-year-old, Chelsea – on the back of the latest injury suffered by Reece James – have identified Porro as a potential January addition of their own.
🚨Chelsea are now fully in the race to sign Sporting CP wing-back Pedro Porro, despite Tottenham Hotspur in advanced talks for the player.
🧩Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are interested although Spurs seem to be the most advanced in negotiations.
