Tottenham Hotspur star Cristian Romero has taken to social media on Sunday evening, to send an apology message to the club’s supporters.
Romero and Spurs were of course back in action a short time ago.
Fresh off a morale-boosting pair of wins over Fulham and Preston, the Lilywhites turned their attentions back towards matters on the league front, in a showdown with champions Manchester City.
And, when all was said and done, their remarkable recent record in home fixtures versus Pep Guardiola’s side only continued.
This came as a solitary strike from record-breaker Harry Kane inside the opening quarter of an hour proved enough to separate the two sides come the full-time whistle.

On an otherwise stellar day’s work for Tottenham, however, as alluded to above, one source of concern was forthcoming on the personnel front.
Romero, in turn, is set to be suspended for his side’s next outing, when Spurs make the trip to the King Power Stadium for a meeting with Leicester City.
And the Argentine, though delighted with the capital outfit’s eventual three-point haul on Sunday, has evidently been left feeling guilty for his upcoming absence.
In turn, taking to his official Instagram account late this evening, Romero sent the following message to all associated with the club:
“Great game by all, impressive win. Let’s keep it going.
“Sorry to leave the team with a player less, but it had been a while since I’d got one.”
