Following Portugal’s painful exit from the World Cup, there have been big question marks as to whether that was Cristiano Ronaldo’s final major tournament with a Seleção.

2022 has been a very tricky year for Ronaldo whose form has taken a dramatic turn for the worse, which saw him become a bit part player for Manchester United and then for Portugal.

At 37 years of age, there are now doubts as to whether he will play for Portugal again, however, the legendary forward has made his mind up about playing at Euro 2024.

Ronaldo’s Euro 2024 plans

Correio da Manhã are reporting that Ronaldo hopes to play for Portugal at Euro 2024.

The 37-year-old believes that he can continue to be useful to the national team.

He will aim to be at the next major tournament in 18 months’ time regardless of Fernando Santo’s future.

José Mourinho is the current favourite of the FPF to take charge of the national team.

Ronaldo understands that a small pre-season and limited game time this season hurt his chances of succeeding at the World Cup.

He is now looking for a new club after agreeing to leave Man Utd and he will be hoping for better preparations for the next Euros in Germany.
