Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, on Sunday, secured for himself yet another piece of goalscoring history.

For those not aware, Ronaldo was back in action on the international stage a short time ago.

After bagging a brace in Portugal’s 4-0 drubbing of Liechtenstein in midweek, the veteran attacker was afforded a 2nd start in succession, on this occasion against another of Europe’s minnows, in Luxembourg.

And Ronaldo, in turn, went on to find the net twice more.

En route to an eventual 6-0 rout, first, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man opened the scoring from close range.

Then, he was back at it again on the half-hour mark, slotting home at the near post with his left foot:

As revealed amidst the action on Sunday, the 38-year-old’s first of the evening took his career tally against Luxembourg to a hefty 10 goals (since become 11).

This, in turn, saw Luxembourg become the first nation against whom Ronaldo has ever managed to reach double digit goals on the international stage.
