Team news

Czech Republic and Turkey have named their starting line-ups for their third and final Group F games at Euro 2024 in a crucial game for both sides.

The big news from the Czech camp is that star striker Patrik Schick is only fit enough for a place on the bench after his injury against Georgia.

Slavia Prague’s Mojmir Chytil is chosen to leads the attack as Antonin Barak also comes into the forward line.

Schick’s equaliser in the Czech Republic’s 1-1 draw with Georgia means he is his country’s top Euro scorer with six goals at the finals.

Turkey have made a chance in goal for their final group game as Mert Gunok makes his return from injury and replaces Altay Bayındır.

Teenage star Arda Guler also comes back into the starting XI after being named on the bench against Portugal last time out.

Czech Republic XI: Stanek, Coufal, Holec, Hranc, Krejci, Jurasek, Soucek, Provod, Barak, Chytil, Hlozec

Turkey XI: Gunok, Muldur, Demiral, Akaydin, Kadioglu, Calhanoglu, Ozcan, Guler, Yuksek, Yildiz, Yilmaz

The state of the group

This is a must-win game for 1976 champions Czech Republic, who cannot reach the round of 16 if they do not win, even though they could finish third in the group.

Turkey will progress as group runners-up if they avoid defeat and finish third if they lose and Georgia do not beat Portugal in the simultaneous group game.

Should they lose and Georgia upset Portugal, Turkey will finish fourth and be knocked out of the competition.

The runners-up behind Portugal in the group will play Austria, who impressively won their group with victory over the Netherlands, in Leipzig on Tuesday.
