Newcastle United have reached a definitive agreement with their counterparts at Premier League rivals Everton, over the signing of Anthony Gordon.
The subject of wide-man Gordon’s situation at Goodison Park has of course taken its place at the forefront of the headlines over the course of the week to date.
This comes with the 21-year-old having taken matters firmly into his own hands, amid efforts to engineer a move away from Everton.
After seeing a transfer to Chelsea fall through during the summer, Gordon evidently had no intention of allowing the same to unfold this month, in the face of heavy interest by way of high-flying Newcastle United.
In turn, the talented attacker was a no-show at Everton’s training ground on each of the last four days.

As per The Times, the cash-laden transfer team at St. James’ Park have agreed to fork over £40 million for their chief attacking target.
Gordon, in turn, will undergo a medical on Tyneside over the days ahead, before putting pen to paper on what is expected to be a five-year contract.
Terms have been agreed for the player, who will sign a long-term contract at Newcastle. He is due on Tyneside to undergo a medical this weekend before linking up with Eddie Howe and his new team-mates https://t.co/9dhTSIKSTH
