Giovanni Simeone, son of Diego, marked his Champions League debut with a goal for SSC Napoli against Liverpool.
The Italian side thrashed the Reds 4-1 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Simeone came off the bench to add to the scoreline and his father, coach of Atlético Madrid, has reacted to the goal.

The 27-year-old came off the bench to replace the injured Victor Osimhen.
Then just three minutes later the Argentine found himself on the scoresheet.
Diego Simeone was unable to attend the match, as his Atlético side were in action against Porto, but he has hailed his son’s hard work.
“He is in a team that attacks a lot and that is good for him because of his characteristics.”
