Juventus are reportedly in advanced talks with Aston Villa to sign midfielder Douglas Luiz.

Sky Sports say the clubs are also discussing deals for Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior to leave the Serie A side and join Villa in the opposite direction.

The deals are said to be separate but part of the same negotiation.

Villa forced into sale

Brazil international Luiz has was one of Villa’s best performers last season as they qualified for the Champions League under Unai Emery.

He scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists after featuring in 53 games during a season which also saw them reach the Europa Conference League semi-finals.

But the Midlands club are under pressure to sell one of their key assets due to the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations.

The 26-year-old is likely to command a hefty fee, helping the Villans avoid sanctions before the June 30 deadline.

Juve duo head to Villa Park

In return, they are set to fill the gap left by Luiz with United States international McKennie, while English youngster Iling-Junior also set to join.

McKennie enjoyed his most productive campaign for Juve last term, making 38 appearances and providing 10 assists.

Iling-Junior, 20, who operates as both a left wing-back and left-winger featured 24 times in the league – though only four of those were from the start.

Villa’s midfield is also bolstered by the imminent arrival of Ross Barkley, who is reportedly poised to sign from Luton.
