Supporters of Spanish giants Real Madrid have flooded to social media on Sunday evening, to sing the praises of a member of the club’s midfield ranks.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops, of course, are currently locked in action.
After watching Clasico rivals Barcelona reestablish their ten-point advantage atop the La Liga table earlier in the day, Los Blancos have made the trip to the Benito Villamarin, desperate for a three-point haul of their own up against Real Betis.
As things stand late in the 2nd-half on Sunday, however, the scoreline remains goalless in Andalusia.
This comes after what looked set to be a first-half opener for the visitors was ruled out by VAR, before Thibaut Courtois proved his importance to Real’s dwindling title hopes once more courtesy of a string of stellar stops at the other end.
As alluded to above, though, amid the ongoing action at the Villamarin, it is another member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad who has taken his place front and centre on social media.
Owing to one particular moment of touchline brilliance amid what has proven a solid display to date, Real’s midfield sensation, whilst filling in at left-back, has drawn comparisons to none other than fellow countryman and club legend Zinedine Zidane:
I didn’t know Zidane still plays for Real Madrid🤌🏻😭 Camavinga that was top
