Lee Carsley has named his second England squad ahead of the upcoming Nations League matches in October.

His first squad last month opted to mix youth and experience, with the former Under-21s coach drafting in the likes of Angel Gomes while bringing back Jack Grealish, who was left out of the Euro 2024 squad.

It looks more of the same this time, with Dominic Solanke recalled after an impressive start to life at Tottenham.

Kyle Walker and Jude Bellingham also return after missing out last time through injury.

Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins – who all withdrew from the last squad, are also included.

Tino Livramento and Harry Maguire are both out, as are Jarrod Bowen and Eberechi Eze, which may come as a surprise to some.

James Maddison also misses out again, despite having an impressive start to the campaign at Tottenham.

Aaron Ramsdale’s move to Southampton has not paid dividends yet, with Dean Henderson, Nick Pope and Jordan Pickford all getting the nod ahead of him.

Rico Lewis, Gomes, Morgan Gibbs-White and Noni Madueke also keep their places.

And Conor Gallagher’s fine start to his career at Atletico Madrid ensures he has a spot.

England take on Greece at Wembley Stadium on October 10, before travelling to Finland three days later.

The squad will give Carsley more opportunities to study some of the players who are on the fringes of the national team as life without Gareth Southgate continues.
