Now 22, Foden will theoretically be on the club’s books until he is 27 as the academy graduate has become one of the key long-term pieces of the City project to remain the dominant force in the Premier League.
Terms had been provisionally agreed between the club and the player’s representatives back in September, with just the fine print surrounding image rights considerations the only remaining hoop to jump through before full terms could be signed, sealed, and delivered, with Foden thought to now be on over £200k-a-week.
Phil Foden’s new five-year #ManCity contract is understood to be worth in excess of £200,000 a week.

Foden is now unquestionably untouchable at the Etihad Stadium alongside summer signing Erling Haaland, the England international looks to continue his progression as one of the most gifted young players in the Premier League and across Europe as a whole.
The Stockport native is in the midst of what is likely to be his most influential season yet while at his boyhood club and has already starred week in week out after hitting 6 goals and adding a further 3 assists in just nine Premier League appearances thus far after forming an impressive tandem in the forward line alongside Haaland and has played a key role in the Norwegian’s scintillating start to life in England.
With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar just around the corner, Foden is guaranteed – barring an injury mishap – to be one of the key attacking figures in Gareth Southgate’s selected squad that will come to grips with the United States, Iran, and Wales in Group A.
