Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez has, on Friday, moved to throw his backing behind heavily-maligned head coach Graham Potter.
The name of tactician Potter, of course, has taken its place front and centre in west London over the course of the last couple of weeks.
This comes as his Blues side continue to struggle for results in nothing short of alarming fashion.
Despite a record-breaking January outlay on the part of owner Todd Boehly, Chelsea have, remarkably, notched just a solitary victory from ten attempts across all competitions since the turn of the year.
This stretch includes defeats in each of their last two, at the hands of Borussia Dortmund and Southampton respectively.
In turn, it has come as little surprise to see calls for the aforementioned Potter’s head begin to mount.

As alluded to above, though, one member of the first-team setup in west London who remains of the opinion that the Pensioners’ boss remains the right man for the job is Enzo Fernandez.
During an interview with The Telegraph on Friday, midfield standout Fernandez was drawn on the ongoing woes of he, his teammates, and manager alike.
And the winter arrival at Chelsea, in response, sent a direct message to the club’s supporters.
Backing Potter and co. to lead his new side out of their current predicament, Fernandez pleaded:
“Trust the players, trust the backroom staff, trust the manager. Never forget that we are representing you, that we are trying to win games, starting on Sunday. Then we can start to turn things around.”
