Manchester United headed into the game looking to capitalise on their 2-1 win over Liverpool earlier in the week.

And, when all was said and done, Manchester United did eventually come away with a valuable three points thanks to a Bruno Fernandes strike in the 55th minute.

Following the game, Erik ten Hag has praised United’s team spirit and commitment, as well as their ability to adapt and win the game:

“You have to adapt and find a certain way to win games and that is what we did today,” Ten Hag said. “That was the problem, especially in the second game. When you don’t give everything and you don’t have the attitude for 100 per cent and you don’t have right team spirit, you don’t have to talk about philosophy or game plan or whatever. First it has to be a team and spirit and 100 per cent commitment.”

Leicester vs Manchester United

Manchester United must now turn their attentions towards Leicester City, who they face this coming Thursday at 8 pm.

Manchester United are now, of course, unbeaten in two games and likely fancy their chances of making it three from three.

The Foxes, though, still pose a goal threat and could cause United’s backline some issues, especially if Harry Maguire or Victor Lindelof are rotated in for Lisandro Martinez or Raphael Varane.
