Jamal Musiala has labelled Bayern Munich team-mate Harry Kane as “one of the best” ahead of Germany and England’s Euro 2024 quarter-finals.
The Three Lions captain has been criticised for his below-par performances in the tournament but has scored two of his country’s four goals.
And Musiala has jumped to the defence of his domestic compatriot, suggesting he has elite instincts and is at Bayern for a reason.
Speaking ahead of Germany’s match against Spain, he said: “The last goal he scored was a typical striker’s goal.
“Not many players would have been in the position to score that goal.
“He’s there for those moments. He may not get many chances, but when he gets that one chance, he can decide the game for his team.
🗣️ “We’ve all seen what he’s done”

“We have all seen what he has done for us at Bayern this season.
“He is an important player, an incredible player, one of the best in the world.
“That’s why we have him at FC Bayern – and that’s why he is one of the most important players for England.”
Musiala and Kane could face-off in the semi-finals should they both win within the next few days.
Hosts Germany must overcome high-flying Spain while 2020 finalists England will need to see off a tough Switzerland side to progress.
Kane’s criticism will likely be brushed off inside the England camp, and he will again lead the line in the quarter-finals.
Alongside Jude Bellingham, he has remained a player to step up when his country has needed him at a major tournament.
