A fresh update on the future of in-demand Eintracht Frankfurt star Evan N’Dicka has been forthcoming late on Thursday evening.

The name of defender N’Dicka, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines for some time now.

This comes as speculation continues to swirl around the plans of the 23-year-old.

N’Dicka is held in high regard across the continent, meaning his decision not to put pen to paper on fresh terms ahead of the imminent expiration of his contract at the Deutsche Bank Park has sparked widespread interest.

To this point, a whole host of clubs have been tipped as potential landing spots, from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in England, to AS Roma in Italy, to Paris Saint-Germain in France.

Yet, for some time now, it is another European heavyweight who have been considered the favourites to actually strike a deal for N’Dicka.

In fact, some outlets across Spain have even gone as far as to suggest that an agreement is already in place, for the former French youth international to take his talents to the Camp Nou as a free agent come the season’s close.

Such claims, however, have this evening been firmly rebuffed.

This comes with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano having provided a fresh insight into N’Dicka’s situation.

Though Barcelona are among ‘many clubs’ keeping a close eye on the versatile stopper, ‘it is not a done deal’ between the parties, meaning the race for N’Dicka’s signature remains very much ‘open’.
