Chelsea faced off with Manchester City in a Premier League clash on Thursday evening.

The Blues were looking to bounce back after being forced to settle for a point vs Nottingham Forest last week.

However, when all was said and done, Manchester City came away with a 1-0 win thanks to a Jack Grealish goal.

During the game, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was subbed on early due to an injury to Raheem Sterling.

But the forward did not finish the game and was subbed off despite coming on  as a sub himself.

Quizzed as to why Aubameyang was unable to see the game out against City, Graham Potter told reporters: “He came on after one minute, hadn’t played for a while, and put in an absolute shift for us given Manchester City make you run a lot. I thought he did everything he could for the team.

“Of course, players want to stay on the pitch and influence the game. It’s a normal reaction.”
