An update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has been provided on Saturday evening.
Los Blancos, of course, were back in action a short time ago.
Aware that a victory would see them, at least temporarily, open up a six-point advantage over Clasico rivals Barcelona atop the La Liga table, Carlo Ancelotti and co, welcomed Sevilla to the Bernabeu.
And the aforementioned Valverde, once more, played a starring role en route to an eventual 3-1 triumph.
After Lucas Vazquez restored Real’s advantage on the back of a 2nd-half Sevilla equaliser courtesy of former Tottenham star Erik Lamela, Valverde firmly stole the show with the most emphatic of result-clinching strikes:

That technique is SILLY 😳

In turn, it no doubt came as a major source of concern for the Blancos faithful, post-match, to hear of their in-form midfield star struggling with a fitness issue.
Carlo Ancelotti, however, has since moved to clarify the situation.
Speaking to the media after watching his side keep alive their remarkable season to date, Real’s boss assured that Valverde’s problem ‘doesn’t seem like anything serious’:

*Update* – Ancelotti has since added the following:
‘Valverde has a bruise. It hurts a little, we have to see the tests, I am not sure if he will be ready for the match against Leipzig.’
