Fiorentina director Daniele Prade has, on Friday, provided an update on the future of Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat.
The name of midfielder Amrabat, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of Manchester for some time now.
This comes amid widespread confirmation that the Moroccan World Cup standout has made his way to the top of the wishlist of the powers that be at Old Trafford.
Amid ongoing efforts to reinforce boss Erik ten Hag’s ranks in the middle of the park, Amrabat, it is understood has been identified as the ideal replacement for Fred.
Reports, in turn, have long pointed towards an offer by way of United as being imminent.
And yet, with just weeks remaining in the summer transfer window, as much has yet to be confirmed.
And the Viola chief went on to reveal that, to this point, no bids deemed sufficient have arrived for Amrabat’s signature:
“The situation is clear. He wants to join a top club and we want to satisfy him, but if we receive no offers, he will stay with us. We don’t have a player like him in the team.”
United fans now know the latest on the club’s pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat – but it’s Fiorentina who have provided it 👀 https://t.co/Fp8ChbmdtY pic.twitter.com/G4KYTk2r5K
