Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has, on Sunday, provided a pair of updates on the transfer plans of the powers that be at the Santiago Bernabeu.
First up comes confirmation of the latest imminent addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
The player set to take his talents to Spain’s capital with a view to next season? Joselu.
The name of frontman Joselu has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines at Real over the course of the last week.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the Espanyol standout had been identified as a prime target to reinforce Los Blancos’ depleted centre-forward ranks.
Such news, in turn, was swiftly followed by further claims on Saturday night, that a deal had been struck for Joselu to seal a move back to the Bernabeu, on a season-long loan.

Joselu’s will mark the 4th summer addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, after the returns of both Fran Garcia and Brahim Diaz were followed by the long-awaited arrival of Jude Bellingham.
Those of a Real persuasion expecting yet further new faces to make their way through the door in Madrid, however, are in for a rude awakening.
This comes with Florentino Perez having concluded his latest address with the revelation that Los Merengues’ summer market, surprisingly, has now come to a close.
