Pat Nevin has been full of praise for Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney in a recent interview.
The Scottish international would join Arsenal from Celtic in 2019, and has since gone on to become an integral figure in their backline.
Reports last month even suggested that Tierney was attracting interest from Real Madrid.
It is not known how much Los Blancos would be willing to pay for the stopper, or if Arsenal would even entertain any offers, but Real’s alleged interest does make some sense given the age of Marcelo.
And, should he indeed move to Madrid, former Scottish international Pat Nevin is of the opinion that Tierney would have no problem fitting in there, either:
“If he did join Real Madrid then I’m convinced he would have no problem fitting in there: he wouldn’t need time to settle or adjust,” he explained. “Kieran’s good enough to join any club in the world and hit the ground running.”

Nevin makes Tierney claim
There is much debate between Arsenal, Liverpool and Scotland fans over who is the better of the two left-backs.
But Nevin is of the opinion that, in fact, Tierney is the superior all-round player:
“Andy Robertson is a fabulous full-back so I’m not criticising him in any way when I say that Kieran is the better all-round player of the two.
“It’s probably the first time since Kenny Dalglish and Graeme Souness in the 1980s when we’ve had two Scots capable of playing for the best teams around.”
