France Football Federation president Philippe Diallo is open to the idea of Thierry Henry succeeding Didier Deschamps as the next first-team manager.
The iconic ex-striker is impressing at the Paris 2024 Olympics, guiding France to the final against Spain.
It means Les Bleus have guaranteed themselves a medal and the host nation has been the most formidable team in the tournament this summer under Henry.
They won all three of their group games before beating both Argentina and Egypt in the quarter and semi-finals to make it to the gold medal match.
France’s performances have put Henry in the spotlight and the question was put to Diallo about his future in management.
Speaking to RMC Sport, the FFF president said: “Let’s not rush things. Thierry Henry, when I appointed him to this position, there were some who had doubts given what he had done previously.

“I had confidence in him and he is proving it. We still have one more gold medal to go for.
“There is still this step to take and then next year, there will be the Euro Espoirs 2025.
“There will be this new challenge to take up, each of the steps must be taken before talking about anything else.”
If France can bag gold at their home Olympics, Henry would stand in very good stead for a promotion when Deschamps eventually steps down.
The 46-year-old has already worked as an assistant coach for Belgium, as well as being in charge of Monaco and Montreal Impact.
