Fulham will look to build on their second consecutive win as they travel to in-form Aston Villa looking for another three points to push them back into contention for a European spot.

Starting the season brightly, the Cottagers have fizzled out somewhat, and had not won in five games before they managed 3-1 win over relegation strugglers Everton.

That was followed up with another nervy win, again against relegation candidates, when they beat Leeds United at Craven Cottage on Saturday, but they now face an Aston Villa side on the charge for a European spot themselves in the final knockings of the season.

With six games left to play, Unai Emery’s side find themselves sixth, though they have played more games than both Liverpool and Brighton directly below them.

Fulham, meanwhile, sit six points back from the Villains, a deficit that would halve should they find a way to take all three points away from Villa Park, and could reignite a late push for European football in west London next season.

Here’s how we expect Marco Silva’s side to line up, and the latest team news from the Cottage.

However, star man Aleksandr Mitrovic remains suspended for his outburst in the FA Cup Quarter final, which leaves him out until at least the middle of May.

Also out is Lyvin Kurzawa, with the left back having picked up a knee injury and not expected back for at least another week.

It means that it could be a largely unchanged side from that which beat Leeds on Saturday lunchtime, though James’ return could see one of Harry Wilson or Bobby De Cordova Reid drop out.
