An interesting insight into the wide-ranging impact of Marco Silva’s decision to remain on the bench at Premier League outfit Fulham has come to the fore on Sunday evening.
For those not aware, the name of tactician Silva has taken its place front and centre in the headlines at Craven Cottage across the day to date.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming, by way of a host of reliable sources, that the Portuguese has come to the decision to stay put in west London.
Silva was of course the subject of a lucrative €20 million-per-year contract offer from Saudi Arabia, but has proven once and for all his commitment to the Fulham cause by turning down the riches of the Middle East in favour of continuing his journey in England’s capital.

And, as alluded to above, this decision could yet have far reaching consequences, on the transfer market.
As revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
Chelsea star Hudson-Odoi was widely expected to take his talents to Italy over the coming weeks, with Maurizio Sarri keen to reunite with the England international at Lazio.
Despite ‘advanced’ negotiations between the respective boards at Stamford Bridge and Stadio Olimpico, however, CHO could yet instead opt for a move much closer to home.
This comes with Fulham ready to ‘resume contacts’ for the talented winger, at the direct request of headmaster Silva.
