Barcelona star Ilkay Gundogan has taken to social media on Sunday, to provide an update on his wellbeing.
For those who may have missed it, midfielder Gundogan set alarm bells ringing across the Barca fanbase late last night.
This came upon the summer arrival at the Camp Nou being forced into an early departure from his new club’s pre-season Clasico showdown with Real Madrid.
Though Xavi Hernandez’s troops ultimately romped to the right side of a 3-0 scoreline, the Blaugrana’s night was soured to at least some degree by fitness concerns for both Gundogan and Andreas Christensen.
Post-match, reports came to the fore in the media, assuring that neither had suffered any sort of serious injury.
Nevertheless, though, the Barcelona faithful were left with an anxious wait for a further insight into the situation.
The info comes courtesy of none other than Gundogan himself, who has taken to his official Twitter account, to quell any remaining fears surrounding an incoming spell on the sidelines.
In response to a fan question on his fitness, the former Manchester City standout assured:
‘Don’t worry – It’s not that bad’
