Updates on the fitness of a pair of sidelined Liverpool midfielders have been provided on Sunday evening.
And the news has proven of an altogether less than positive nature for all associated with the Merseyside giants.
First up comes the latest on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Versatile midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain has of course endured another campaign to forget thus far. This comes with the former Arsenal star yet to take to the pitch on a single occasion, owing to a hamstring injury picked up back in July.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, this situation does not look set to change any time soon.
As per a report from the Liverpool Echo, ‘The Ox’ is not expected to mark his return to the pitch until late-October at the earliest.
And the same is understood to be the case for Naby Keita.
And, amid ongoing struggles across the international break, he too looks unlikely to be at the disposal of boss Jurgen Klopp for at least another month.
