Liverpool will face off with Ajax in a Champions League clash on Tuesday evening.

The Reds head into the game in desperate need of a win after suffering an embarrassing 4-1 loss at the hands of Napoli last week.

That result puts Liverpool bottom of their CL group, with another loss on Tuesday potentially detrimental to their hopes of making it into the knockout stages.

Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp discussed a number of topics in his press conference.

It was reported before the press conference that Andy Robertson had suffered a knee injury and is set to miss out vs Ajax.

Klopp has since confirmed the left-back is out until after the break: “Robbo late on [suffered an injury]. He suffered a problem, felt it the next day. He’s out until after the international break.”

Elsewhere, Klopp discussed Liverpool’s poor display vs Napoli: “We met with the players, I watched the Napoli game a lot and we saw horrors. The players knew as well.

“It was the worst game since I’ve been here. We’ve had a few, Villa away, but there are always glimpses of us.

“In this [Napoli] game, nothing. We have to understand why.”

On facing Ajax, he added: “We have to show a reaction, we know that. It doesn’t mean we get a result v Ajax. A massive rebuild for them but a really good job.

“The situation about the group is not massively helpful but it’s a home game in CL. We make sure we play different to Napoli and we’ll see.”
