Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has provided an update on the wellbeing of Ryan Gravenerch late this evening.
For those who may have missed it, midfielder Gravenberch set pulses racing across the Liverpool fanbase a short time ago.
This came during the Reds’ Europa League group stage opener against LASK.
En route to a 3-1 victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side, debutant Gravenberch, fresh off bagging an assist, pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular concern.
After being tended to by the visitors’ medical team, it was subsequently decided that he was in no condition to continue, with the former Ajax man having therefore been hooked from proceedings.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle in Austria, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Gravenberch’s fitness was put to his manager.
This comes with the German having confirmed to Danny Jamieson of TNT Sports that the summer addition to his midfield ranks ‘just had a touch of cramp’:
“Jürgen Klopp told me postmatch that Ryan Gravenberch just had a touch of cramp when he came off – first time he’s played extended minutes in a long time.”
