Liverpool’s 2022/23 campaign has been a write off. The season began with Liverpool beating Manchester City in the Community Shield.
The Reds were then once again expected to take Manchester City to the limit in the race for the Premier League title.
However, by Christmas is was clear that Liverpool’s season was a complete disaster.
And with around a month of the campaign to play, Liverpool are out of all cup competitions and sit 7th in the Premier League.
Liverpool are also nine points off the top-four, so there is expected to be no Champions League football next term.
However, Jurgen Klopp has recently stated that he wants all of his players back together this summer as soon as possible in order to avoid another disaster similar to 2022/23:
“I know that and I respect that. I want them to go on holiday for as long as possible but, for this year, we have to make sure we are together as soon as possible and can go from there. The next season stands above everything, to be honest.”
