An insight into the details of the contract understood to have been agreed upon between Premier League giants Arsenal and defensive transfer target Jurrien Timber has been provided late on Sunday.
Word of Arsenal’s interest in stopper Timber, of course, first came to the fore earlier this week.
In news broken by Gunners transfer expert David Ornstein, it was revealed that the powers that be at The Emirates had tabled an opening offer worth a fee in the region of £30 million for the Dutchman.
Ajax, however, threw a spanner in the works, in knocking back the proposal without so much as a 2nd thought.

Nevertheless, it was noted that Arsenal have already come to a contract agreement with Timber himself, with hope surrounding a transfer eventually coming to fruition therefore remaining high.
And, as alluded to above, on Sunday evening, an insight into some of the finer details of this arrangement has been forthcoming.
Over the course of this stretch, the 22-year-old will earn €40 million, owing to a wage packet of €8 million-per-year.
Significantly, it is also added that the respective boards at The Emirates and Johan Cruyff Arena are ‘crawling towards each other’, in the hopes of finding an accord over a suitable transfer fee.
