Serie A giants Juventus have initiated fresh contact with their counterparts at Arsenal, over a move for a key member of the Gunners’ midfield setup.
The player in question? Thomas Partey.
For those who may have missed it, the name of Ghanaian international Partey took its place front and centre in the headlines in Turin earlier this summer.
This came upon confirmation coming to the fore that the powers that be at the Allianz Stadium had identified the 30-year-old as a chief target to reinforce Massimiliano Allegri’s engine room ranks with a view to next season.
In the end, the Bianconeri came to the decision to bring a close to their pursuit, shifting attentions to Barcelona’s Franck Kessie after learning of Arsenal’s demands for a crucial cog in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then it would appear that Juve are ready to reignite their Partey pursuit.
‘The name of Thomas Partey regains altitude. There have been new contacts for the Ghanaian, but the operation would only materialize if there were to be another exit in that department’ (midfield).
