Real Madrid talisman Karim Benzema has, on Thursday, spoken out over claims that he is set for an imminent departure from the club.
For those who may have missed it, recent hours saw the name of hitman Benzema take its place front and centre in the media headlines across Spain.
This came amid suggestions that the Frenchman has come to the decision to take on a new challenge with a view to next season.
Amid a mammoth contract offer from Al Ittihad, a whole host of outlets went as far as to assure that Benzema is all set to join former Real teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia this summer.
Karim Benzema will join Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad when his Real Madrid contract expires this month, sources have told ESPN.

If the latest comments on the part of the Ballon d’Or holder are anything to go by, however, then those of a Blancos persuasion perhaps need not fret just yet.
This comes with Benzema having thrown his rumoured Bernabeu exit into major doubt, in assuring that internet speculation ‘isn’t reality’:
