Karim Benzema netted the only goal of the game in the second-leg as Real Madrid booked their spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Los Blancos ended up cruising through with Liverpool struggling to really lay a glove on the record-holders.
Madrid now face a decisive weekend in La Liga as they travel away to FC Barcelona, who have a nine-point gap over them.
Carlo Ancelloti will be praying that Benzema is fit to play at Camp Nou after the Frenchman was in real pain after scoring his goal.

Although, after the match, Benzema revealed that the injury was nothing serious.
He had been struggling with an ankle issue in the build-up to the match.
“Things like that usually happens in football. I’ll go on as usual.
“The level of the competition is very high, but we’ll try to win it again.”
