Arsenal have so far spent around £200m in the 2023 summer transfer window.
The Gunners began the summer by spending £65m on Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
They then signed Jurrien Timber from Ajax for around £37.5m with add-ons before splashing a club and British record £100m plus £5m in add-ons on Declan Rice.
All three of Arsenal’s new signings were in action on Sunday in the Community Shield.
Timber started at left-back, Declan Rice in the Granit Xhaka role and Kai Havertz as a false nine.
Following the game, which Arsenal won, Kevin De Bruyne has praised Arsenal’s trio of new players:
“I think they started all three, so that means they are big signings for them. Everybody is looking at their own team and every team has so much money, so everybody is always spending in this league and we know that.
“It gets tougher every year. One way or another, we try to maintain where we are.”
