Chelsea were bested by Newcastle United on Saturday evening.
Chelsea headed into the game winless in four league matches and slipping down the Premier League table.
Newcastle, meanwhile, were flying high and continue their charge up the table.
The Magpies saw off Chelsea with relative ease, with a 67th-minute strike from Joe Willock enough to secure them the four points.
Graham Potter’s side have now lost back-to-back matches against Arsenal and Newcastle and find themselves struggling in the eighth in the league table with 21 points from 14 matches.
And whilst many a Chelsea fan has been keen to point the finger at Potter, Kalidou Koulibaly has insisted the players are at fault:
Koulibaly also hopes the World Cup break will do Chelsea some good, as he added: ‘’The break comes at the good time for us, we need to recharge the batteries, think about something else and come back after the World Cup with a different mentality.”
