Yet another remarkable statistic surrounding the production of Manchester City star Erling Haaland in front of goal has come to the fore late on Saturday.
The name of hitman Haaland, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines once more across the evening to date.
This comes owing to his exploits in City’s latest rampant victory.
After putting seven past RB Leipzig in the Champions League in midweek, the Sky Blues followed up by notching a further six today, en route to sending Vincent Kompany’s Burnley packing from the FA Cup.
That man Haaland, meanwhile, proved the star of the show, notching another three goals, to go alongside a brace from partner in crime Julian Alvarez, and a further strike by way of youngster Cole Palmer.

After finding the net no fewer than five times against Leipzig, Haaland, in turn, took his tally to a frankly ridiculous eight goals in the space of just four days.
As per statisticians Opta, Haaland’s hat-trick against Burnley marked his 6th of the season to date.
This is more than have been managed by the rest of the Premier League’s stars combined across all competitions in 2022/2023.
6 – Erling Haaland has scored more hat-tricks in all competitions this season (6) than every other Premier League player combined (5).
