Leeds United have, on Thursday, confirmed the departure of a key member of the club’s defensive setup.
The player in question? Robin Koch.
Rumours pointing towards German international Koch’s Elland road exit, of course, have long been widespread in the media.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that the 26-year-old had set his sights on a transfer, owing to Leeds’ relegation to The Championship.
A number of clubs, in turn, quickly expressed an interest in the services of the versatile stopper/midfielder.
And, on Thursday, one such outfit has officially won the race for his signature.
The eight-time capped international has made the move to Deutsche Bank Park on loan for the duration of the 2023/24 campaign.
However, unusually, once this period comes to an end, Koch will become a free agent, ahead of the expiration of his terms with Leeds in 12 months’ time.

In their own ensuing announcement on the subject, the powers that be at Elland Road confirmed:

‘We wish Robin all the best during his time at Deutsche Bank Park.’
