Leicester City and Brendan Rodgers could find themselves in the relegation zone should they lose against Chelsea and results go against them on Saturday, such is their poor form.

Following a dismal 1-0 defeat to relegation rivals Southampton, they play host to a Graham Potter side seemingly on the up, having won their last two games in all competitions and fresh off the back of progression to the last 8 of the Champions League.

Now with three losses on the bounce, Rodgers’ season is threatening to once more fall apart after it appeared that the Foxes had wrestled back some control amid the King Power chaos, and managerial change is appearing increasingly likely should they be sucked into a relegation scrap, especially given the quality of player on show in the midlands.

A win against Chelsea would do them a world of good, and we take a look at how we expect the Foxes to line up for the clash, as well as the latest team news from the east midlands.

Team News

Maddison is available despite concerns about his knee, with Rodgers confirming that the Englishman has personally assured staff of his fitness.

“When he’s out on the pitch, he’s declaring himself fit to play”, he explained.. “With every player, they’re never 100 per cent. They’re always managing something. He’s managing the issue. He was outstanding at Southampton. He’s available.”

In better news, Jonny Evans will be in the squad, with the Leicester boss explaining “he has trained all week”, though having been out of action for some time it is unlikely he will start against the Blues.
