A fresh insight into the ongoing managerial search at Leicester City has been provided on Thursday evening.
The powers that be at the King Power Stadium, it is understood, are in the process of sourcing potential replacements for current head coach Dean Smith.
This comes after the ex-Norwich City boss failed in his efforts to guide Leicester to Premier League safety, on the back of his appointment in April.
A fresh start is therefore being considered, as the Foxes eye a swift return to the top-flight of English football.
And, according to the Daily Mail, one tactician being considered as the man to lead such a charge comes in the form of none other than Steven Gerrard:
‘Leicester are giving consideration to offering Steven Gerrard a route back into management as they begin the process of rebuilding following their relegation from the Premier League.’

This, in turn, ‘has placed him in the running to lead Leicester back to the top flight.’
Also under consideration by Foxes chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha are both Scott Parker, and one-time Juventus midfielder Enzo Maresca.
