The wife of Inter Miami star Lionel Messi has, on Thursday, provided an insight into the meaning behind her husband’s latest eye-catching celebration.
The name of seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi has of course taken its place centre stage in the football headlines once more over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes with the veteran attacker fresh off another dazzling stateside display.
After kicking life in Major League Soccer into gear in predictably brilliant fashion courtesy of three goals and an assist across his first two appearances, Messi, late on Wednesday night, guided his side into a Leagues Cup meeting with Orlando City.
And, once again, it was the former Barcelona standout who went on to prove himself the difference-maker.
After opening the scoring at DRV PNK Stadium courtesy of a volleyed left-footed finish, Messi put the result to bed in adding Inter’s 3rd of the night with another volley just beyond the 70-minute mark.

This came upon the Argentine international unveiling yet another new-look celebration, striking a pose with his arms in front of his chest.
Wife Antonela Roccuzzo, in turn, has since taken to social media, to confirm that the action came as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman’s iconic ‘Wakanda Forever’:

After he last week broke out a ‘Thor’-themed celebration for the very first time, it would certainly not be a surprise if Messi’s Marvel-inspired celebration streak continues over the weeks to come.
