Lionel Messi has, on Saturday evening, sent a farewell message to all at Paris Saint-Germain.
Veteran attacker Messi’s exit from the Parc des Princes, of course, has been common knowledge across world football for some time now.
Ahead of the expiration of the Argentine international’s contract, amid heavy criticism on the part of the PSG faithful, Messi, it is understood, has long come to the decision to bring an end to his two-year stint in France’s capital.
The capital giants confirming as much late on Saturday, in turn, has come as little surprise.
In a post across the club’s social media platforms a short time ago, PSG sent a simple message of thanks to the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner:

And, since, Messi has responded, with a message of gratitude of his own.
“Thanks to the club, the city of Paris and its residents for these two years and I wish them the best in the future”.
